Just when we thought we couldn’t be any more jealous of Jennifer Aniston’s fantastic life, along comes the news that she’ll soon be acting opposite the Old Spice Guy, a.k.a. the man of our dreams.
Isaiah Mustafa, who shot to fame with his manly Old Spice commercials, has been cast in Horrible Bosses, starring Aniston and Jason Bateman. It’s a small role, Mustafa told the Hollywood Reporter, but the delectable actor has proven he can do a lot with only a little bit of screen time.
“Who wouldn’t want to be in one of these funny, irreverent comedies?” Mustafa said. “The cast is great. I’m playing a cop because I play these authoritative characters well. I don’t know exactly who I’m in the scene with — maybe Jennifer Aniston!”
The Emmy-nominated commercials also helped Mustafa land a talent agreement with NBC last month, and now it’s been announced the 36-year-old will appear on the fourth season of Chuck.
“I’m going to be filming an episode of Chuck next week. I don’t know how many episodes yet, but I do know I’m playing an official CIA guy (named Greta). The character is pretty goofy, so it’s going to be fun,” he said, adding he’d also love to join Saturday Night Live.
If you’re hoping for some more macho, hysterical Old Spice ads, Mustafa said no other commercials are planned — but, since he signed on to be the brand’s spokesman for a year, the company has a few more months to change its mind.
