“Friends” actress Jennifer Aniston and “Days of our Lives” star John Aniston have teamed up to narrate “Loukoumi’s Gift” by Nick Katsoris. The aim is to inspire 10,000 kids to make a difference on National Make A Difference Day October 24th, which is when the book is released as well.
With the proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research, the follow up book to “Loukoumi’s Good Deeds,” which won the iParenting Media Award winning book and named “Outstanding Children’s Book of 2009,” “Loukoumi’s Gift” will be read nationwide at schools, bookstores and libraries from October 19th-24th.
After the reading the kids will be able to consider what they can do to make a difference, illustrating those thoughts by drawing themselves with Loukoumi the lamb. Then the children will complete the sentence “I will Make A Difference by?” and then do the good deed on National Make a Difference Day on October 24th.
Over 10,000 children will take part in the fundraising events and every time someone purchases “Loukoumi’s Good Deeds” or the follow-up “Loukoumi’s Gift,” $2 will be donated from the sales to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers.
