Let’s hear if for fox-force Five!

The directors of the Lifetime tearjerker, including—maybe you’ve heard of them—Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and Alicia Keys, are in the running for a Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television and Miniseries for their work on the five-vignette drama about cancer patients and their families.

And they, along with codirectors Penelope Spheeris and Patty Jenkins, are the only women nominated in their category. (And all of the other TV categories in the DGA Awards field are mostly populated by men, as well.)

Well, Demi, turns out 2011 wasn’t all a bust!

Jennifer Aniston might be loved up with new man Justin Theroux, but that doesn’t mean that the actress has forgotten what heartache in the public eye feels like and that’s why she’s helping her pal Demi Moore get over her recent break-up.

The Friends star split up with Brad Pitt in 2005 amid rumours of a cheating scandal and now, she’s helping Demi get over her split with husband of six years Ashton Kutcher.

Jen has even offered the use of her yoga instructor Mandy Ingber and her private chefs Jewels and Jill Elmore, to help get her mind and body in top shape.

“Jen knows better than anyone what it’s like to have a break-up in the public eye,” a pal told Now magazine.

They also added: “Demi feels publicly humiliated and Jen can totally empathise. She’s read every self-help book out there and helped Demi compose the announcement of her split.”

Demi and Jen became friends as they co-directed Five, which was the series of short films about breast cancer that they had been promoting when Ashton allegedly cheated with 23-year-old Sara Leal.

Jennifer Aniston beat every single famous lady (past and present) out there in a recent MensHealth.com poll, which anointed her the Hottest Woman of All Time.

At the very top of the list of 100 ladies, the 42-year-old Horrible Bosses star bested Raquel Welch (#2), Marilyn Monroe (#3), Britney Spears (#4) and Madonna (#5). Angelina Jolie — love to Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt — landed at number 10.

“Funny is sexy, and Jennifer Aniston is funny,” explains the site of Aniston’s coup. “Her down-to-earth persona makes her seem attainable. . . And her all-too-human love life off screen inspires sympathy that not even a string of bland romantic comedies can diminish. Jennifer Aniston wraps her arms around pal Chelsea Handler at the Glamour 2011 Women of the Year Awards held at Carnegie Hall on Monday (November 7) in New York City.

The 42-year-old actress presented her pal The Queen of the Night award at the big event. Chelsea, 36, is the only female late night talk show host to have a successful run!

“My mouth has gotten me in trouble my entire life. I just happen to be making a career out of it,” Chelsea told Glamour of her success. “Irreverent would be a good word to describe me.”

FYI: Jennifer is wearing a Versace dress, Celine shoes, and Fred Leighton jewels. Chelsea is wearing Stella McCartney.
