2i8haox Jennifer Anistons Dog Norman DiesJennifer Aniston has lost a friend. Her beloved Welsh corgi-terrier mix, Norman, died at age 15.

“He died a few weeks ago,” Aniston’s rep confirms to PEOPLE. “He was an old dog and it was just his time.”

Over the years, Aniston described her pal as a quiet canine who enjoyed resting at her feet.

“He’s my baby boy,” she told PEOPLE in February. “Norman goes with me on location – I’ve got to take Norman.”

The actress, who just purchased a $4.95 million apartment in New York, bought the home under the name Norman’s Nest Trust.

Back when he was a young pup, Norman got into his share of trouble. He reportedly disappeared for two days in 1998 and eventually turned up at an animal shelter. But most likely the event left him unfazed: “Even back [as a puppy] he was as cool as a cucumber,” Aniston told PEOPLE in 2008. “He’s just a person in a dog suit.”

Norman is survived by Aniston’s other pup, a white German shepherd named Dolly.

I’d like to send my sympathies to Jennifer for her lose of Norman. I lost my ten year old German Shepherd Storm two years ago and still feel the whole he’s left in our lives. My advice would be not to try and replace him with another dog until the grieving process is complete. Thinking of you in your time of sorrow. Kindest regards from the UK.

I read Jennifer’s “Star Quote” in the May 23, 2011 edition of Woman’s World magazine where she says “the most unconditional form of love that you can encounter is with a dog” and “They’re loyal, and they are always faithful”. Of course, she was referring to her beloved Norman. That certainly is the way all of us at Faithful Friends No Kill Animal Shelter in Wilmington, DE feel about our pets. We express our deepest sympathies to her for her loss of Norman.
