Jen On The Prowl For Younger Men?

Desirable young guys, beware. You are the prey.

And Jennifer Aniston is the hunter, slinking into a role as an older—think thirtysomething—sexpot in the romantic comedy Pumas, reports Variety. Like fellow Friend Courteney Cox, who’s got her own upcoming animal-themed TV series called Cougar Town, Aniston will play a character who likes youthful beaus.

Look, if Aniston—who looks younger and better than most people half her age—wants to stretch her acting chops like this, we won’t argue. Playing the age card is a good way to get nominated for an Oscar—her ex Brad Pitt did that in Benjamin Button—and we’re sure she’ll be great.

But still, let’s not be sexist: Isn’t it time we see a film about men who chase younger women? It’s time, Hollywood.

You could just call it…Men.

Life & Style reports that Aniston has inked a deal to produce and star in Goree Girls, a musical set in a women’s prison in the 1940s.

“Jennifer has finally signed on the dotted line to make Goree Girls her next movie as both star and producer,” says an insider. “She is gearing up to shoot this during the first eight weeks of 2010.”

The film, which is based on a true story, chronicles the tale of a group of female inmates in a Texas prison who become the first ever all-female country act. After gaining popularity for their musical offerings, they were eventually granted pardons.

Aniston is going to be a busy gal in the coming months. According to Variety, she’s also signed on to star in the romantic comedy Pumas, about a group of thirty-something women on a perpetual quest for younger men.

Jen Is Looking A Little Stiff

Well, it’s probably because she’s made of wax in these photos! The Grand Opening Of ”Madame Tussauds” Wax Museum Hollywood was held on July 21st and I’ve added a couple of photos of  Jen’s wax figure.

These figures have always been a little creepy to me but I’ve added the photos to the gallery for those who like wax! ;)

Gerard Butler Jokes About Marrying Jennifer Aniston

butler aniston b 200x300 Gerard Butler Jokes About Marrying Jennifer AnistonHow does Gerard Butler deal with those pesky Jennifer Aniston relationship rumors?

By joking about it.

“Conan [O’Brien] asked me about Aniston, who is my costar in the movie I’m making now, and I just said, ‘Yeah, we’re getting married. What the he–,” Butler tells Parade magazine.

“Tell a joke, that’s my technique,” he continues. “I learned as a kid how to stay out of trouble: make it funny.”

He also kids about walking down the aisle with a few other women.

“I’m careful to also say that I’m marrying Cameron Diaz and maybe Joan Rivers,” says Butler, who was briefly linked to Diaz in April 2008. “I like to tell everyone I’m going to be a busy guy.”

Butler wasn’t as smooth with his The Ugly Truth costar, Katherine Heigl.

“Truthfully, one time I was supposed to play with Katherine’s hair and I kept forgetting my lines,” he explains. “I was so nervous that I grabbed her breast. Afterwards, all I could do is say ‘I’m sorry.’ Yeah.”

But later?

“We went back to our trailer and made out after the dancing scene,” he quips.

Jennifer Aniston And Steve Zahn’s Latest Film, Management, To Be Released On DVD

managementdvd 214x300 Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahns latest film, Management, to be released on DVDJennifer Aniston’s latest film, Management, will be released on DVD on September 29. The DVD extras include commentary with writer/director Stephen Belber and co-star Steve Zahn, deleted scenes and a gag reel.
Management is a romantic comedy about a traveling saleswoman, Sue, played by Aniston, who meets a romantically challenged motel night manager, Mike, played by Zahn. After a brief interlude with Mike, Sue leaves Arizona to return home to the East Coast. However, Mike wants the relationship to continue and follows Sue back to Maryland to try to win her back.

Throughout her film career, Aniston has gone back and forth starring in large studio movies and small, independent films. When asked in an interview with Amazon.com why she wanted to play the role of Sue, Aniston responded: “The role of Sue is sort of awkward and it felt very human. I just loved it. When you read romantic comedy after romantic comedy, and then you get to read one where the characters are so unique and oddly flawed and broken, that’s beautiful. I signed on to the project immediately.”

Management, the film, as well as the film’s stars, Aniston and Zahn, have received positive reviews from the critics. Steven Rea of the Philadelphia Inquirer comments: “Whether or not it’s a calculated career move or just an actress on the lookout for good roles, she [Aniston] has brought intelligence and down-to-earth charm to her portraits of women with low incomes and low self-esteem. Ditto for her turn in Management.”
